Spencer Handorf, a junior at Villa Park High in California, took third in the North Hills League championship race and fourth overall among all competitors in the Century Conference, covering the 3-mile course in 15:30.8 at Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim. Villa Park finished second in the North Hills League to advance to the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 prelims Nov. 12 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
